Who can list on the map?

The Grown in the County map is built for people looking to buy direct from producers in Prince Edward County. Listings should represent real farm stands and on-farm (or clearly producer-led) sales — not general retail that only resells others' goods.

You're generally a fit if…

  • You grow, raise, harvest, or gather at least some of what you sell (vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, maple, honey, etc.).
  • You make products yourself from what you grow or raise (e.g. preserves from your fruit, baked goods from your eggs and flour).
  • You run a mixed stand: your production is on offer, even if you also carry a small amount from another local farm.

This map usually isn't the right place if…

  • You only resell products you buy wholesale or ready-made, with no production of those items yourself.
  • The stand is a general gift shop or boutique where local food is a sideline but nothing is produced by you.

That doesn't mean your business isn't great — it just isn't what this particular directory is for.

Area we cover

Listings are for Prince Edward County (PEC). Your stand or farm should be here, or your primary on-farm sales should clearly serve PEC visitors if you're just outside the line.

Edge case or not sure? Email support@growninthecounty.ca with a sentence about what you grow or make — we'll point you in the right direction.
